Greening the Grammys: Music to My Ears

Though many would attribute celebrity greening to the need for a PR boost, I still find it wholly refreshing to see stars making the effort to share their good habits (however predetermined they may be) with the masses.

On Friday night, the honored songbirds of this year’s Grammy Awards did spa time at Green With Music, the Beverly Hills-based, “eco-luxe” spa that comes and goes with the annual event. Created by longtime Hollywood publicists, Beverly Visty-Doman and John Forrester, Green With Music is meant to simultaneously pamper and educate stars on the importance of going green (while passing the word onto fans).

As far as environ-health goes, here is one fun fact that might be invaluable to fans – particularly teens with an addiction to fake rays. This year’s event was sponsored in part by Infinity Sun, the first High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) skin care system. It is also the only Carbon Neutral Sunless Tanning company. That means that the sunstroked can get crisp without sacrificing the environment (that means you, Jamie Lynn Spears).

For added fabulosity, Infinity Sun claims that their celebrity clientele includes country crooner, Jessica Simpson, Victoria’s Secret supermodel, Giselle Bundchen, and Entourage star, Adrien Grenier, to name a few. For more information on the only (as of yet) green means of maintaining the fake bake, check out Infinity Sun‘s website.

A virtuous start to the awards season rush, provided the celebs are successful in getting the good word out. After all, there seems to be no stronger influence on young fans than lifestyles of the rich and the famous. An active hand to accompany a loud voice might just do the trick.

I’ll be interested to see what Oscar has up his sleeve.

XO, The Green Gamine
